What are Dental Bridges?
Dental bridges are prosthetic devices used to replace one or more missing teeth. They "bridge" the gap created by the missing teeth, with artificial teeth (pontics) held in place by abutment teeth on either side of the gap. These abutment teeth can be natural teeth or dental implants which support the bridge. Dental bridges come in various materials, including porcelain, ceramic, and metal alloys, to provide a natural appearance and restore the functionality of the missing teeth. They are custom-made to fit the individual's mouth. They are a popular and effective solution for restoring a complete smile, improving chewing ability, maintaining dental alignment, and preventing neighboring teeth from shifting.
